Relationships
Do you have difficulty navigating relationships?

Do you feel like you get stuck in the same unhealthy relationship pattern over and over again and are not sure how to fix it?

Do you have difficulty setting or respecting boundaries of others?

Are you feeling like you might just have to give up on important relationship with a partner, friend, or family member because you just don’t know how to fix things and the relationship is too painful?

As a marriage and family therapist one of my specializations is being able to provide therapy for individuals from a systemic perspective. That means looking at a person’s interactions within their social environment (interactions with friends, family, co-workers, etc.) and how this effects a person’s thoughts, feelings, and behavior. I enjoy working with all things relationships including: intimate partner distress, relationship problems between teens or adult children and their parents, interpersonal problems at work or school, and social and communication skills training for interpersonal effectiveness.

Through our work we will explore your wants and needs for your relationships and identify steps to work towards those goals. We can’t change other’s behavior, but we can change our own. Through our work we will focus on increasing insight to relationship patterns, their origins, and identifying your own personal boundaries and communication strategies to communicate your needs.
